Il 12 e 13 giugno 2011 gli italiani sono chiamati a votare per un referendum abrogativo che prevede quattro quesiti, di cui uno sulla problematica nucleare.

Il terzo quesito riguarda il nucleare e prevede l’abrogazione della norma per la realizzazione nel territorio nazionale di impianti di produzione di energia nucleare.

Si vota il 12 giugno dalle 8 alle 22 e il 13 giugno dalle 7 alle 15.

Il referendum sarà valido solo se si raggiungerà il quorum del 50% + 1.

Questo poster è una rivisitazione di uno degli slogan più usati dal movimento anti-nucleare californiano del 1970.

Si rivolge a tutti, al buon senso comune, si ispira alla saggezza delle nonne di cui l’Italia è piena, è un’appello a raggiungere il quorum e a cercare le risposte nelle verità che sopravvivono alle mode.

I was fluttered when Nozstock crew asked me for the second time to design their image and website. I’m always happy to work in the music environment, I love doodle , dysmo characters and is nice to put on a hold corporates design for a while. Nozstock is a small but very diverse festival: a curious amalgamation of performance, art, electronic supersounds and good old-fashioned guitar-strumming and drum-bashing, so it has been a yummy challenge to find the right feel for the characters illustration

Congratulations! One of your projects was just featured on illustrationserved.com and will appear on its front page. That’s the way of starting a great sunday even though outside is 2 degrees, and is snowing in on the firs primroses.

Succede,  a volte, che ti scappi la pipì e capita che quest’ impellenza fisica si infili in una catena mentale di azioni consecutive, calcolatissime e incredibilmente più urgenti. Succede, certe mattine, di aver appena finito di vestire con un occhio solo la tua cricetina adorata, di avere in mano un biberon, il sacchetto dei pannolini, alcuni indumenti da lavare mentre senti che il caffè gorgoglia e tra qualche secondo bollirà (puah!)

Stai per lanciarti in cucina con la bimba sulla destra (immaginare pose da saltimbanchi) e il resto sulla sinistra, quando capisci che questa è l’ultima chance per fare una piccola sosta in bagno.

Molli il ciarpame in un angolo e la piccola in un altro (ebbene sì a vista) e ti accingi ad evacquare con regale eleganza e mentre vedi la gioviale creaturina gattonare nel piatto doccia bagnandosi completamente, senti:

In un nanosecondo ti passa davanti agli occhi il tuo ultimo anno di vita: tutte le foto e i filmatini sdolcinati che hai fatto alla piccina (una conseguenza imprescindibile della maternità), ma anche tutte le altre foto la connettività garantita che ti ha salvato dalla follia durante l’allattamento, google reader mon amour, 8000 messaggi gratuiti tra te e Lui tutti tempestati di emoticons super cute, un rudimentale navigatore senza il quale non arrivi nemmeno al più vicino centro commerciale, il trova negozi, la lomo, il sopporta code al supermercato, potrei proseguire a lungo, ma perderei il filo dell’azione.

Con balzo felino e pelo di yeti sullo stomaco infili la mano del cesso e ne estrai lo smartphone. No non facciamo inutili censure, non avevi uno smartphone nella tasca posteriore dei jeans avevi il tuo inseparabile iPhone!

Succede quindi di avere il sangue freddo di spegnere, asciugare, phonare, soffiare negli orifizi della tecnologia tascabile, e restare in quarantena così, tra l’incognita e il vuoto, per dieci giorni.

Succede in questi dieci giorni di cadere in una leggera depressione e noia esistenziale e oltre ad inclinare alcuni rapporti di parentela, succede anche di scrivere post mortiferi.

E poi, succede di prendere coraggio, recitare preghiere in russo, accendere and

EVERYTHING IS FINE!

Ecco diciamolo pure, sono una junky del’ iPhone, o meglio sono eternamente grata a questo menhir tascabile per il venticinque percento del mia quotidianità.

I love stop motion, this was my first experiment with an entire song, hope you like it, it has been grate fun.

Mobiles are constantly reframing the way we interact with reality and each other. I’m a transitional, I started to use a mobile at 18 y/o it was as big as a banana, unfortunately not yellow, I used to forget it everywhere and typing SMS took me forever, today .. is a different story! I have a camera always at hand plus I can post and share my shots on the go. Add to that tons of fun apps to experiment with, spice it with a pool of likeminded geeks responding to your work and posting inspiring snaps.. got the picture?

iPhone art photography is an open contest I recently organized with llot creative network to promote research results and stimulate further interest in new media and social networking in relation to art and photography. The project in less then a week has collected many pictures and the participants have responded very well with discussion about post production, editing and software (Apps) used in their arts.

This is the first winner for best of the week, a great shot of the Louvre by Olivier Chatel with Hipstamatic App

Many consider the camera phone an inappropriate tool for photography, not to mention art. To cut a long story short I’d say art was never about dpi, ppi or megapixel.

This week

Is  now time to built up my own world, I need characters and I want to define a quicker style to populate my illustrations, I definitely want to keep an eye on compositions and simple geometry ,but  I don’t want to force everything and go too vector style drawing perfectly round heads and squared clouds, I’d like to keep  a bit of figurative drawing, yet the final image should be as simple as graphic design. Apparently I have it all set only.. I’m yet not sure how to actually get there. I started with this character using just a couple of colors, big realistic eyes are banned, but small points for eyes are just too cute for what I’m trying to get, absence of eyes is just about perfect. Although eyes are among my favorite doodling subject I must say I’m going to find out how expressive can a face be with no eyes at all.So far so good. Any suggestion?

This week:

LEARN:
Find the right tool to get what you need in no time. Nowadays there is one for sure, use some time to find it and spend less time realizing what you have in mind. It will always work. and your work will gain slickness with a new fresher approach.

PRODUCE:
I’m setting up a place to stay for the longest period in the last 12 years, is more fun than what I expected, it  also left me no time in front of any laptop or scratch book , then I found  sketchbook app for Iphone, using its mirror tool and the tip of my finger, is like sketching into the air, I totally love it!

The last of the serie: three stop motion videos about How to make original cocktails .

It all started with Martini variation a perfprmance of  Thomas Colombot mixologist exquisite at 24 cocktail bar, then during an holiday trip to Nottingham UK,  he made  a Milano Torino Breakfast cocktail, with a croissant aside. We shot it right away and Luca did a proper editing, then we shot 16 Red Snappers. Improvisation and fun!

This was shot in Italy with a little of pre-production and storyboard. We let Thomas standing in the swimming pool for ages trying to keep everything inbalance..
