Hemp2Comp

Through our participation in the Hemp2Comp project we are contributing to building, strengthening and gaining more insights in the development of local value chains to advance the use of hemp based bio-composite materials. 

 

In Hemp2Comp not only the production of hemp fibers is taken into account but also development and use of bio resins, application design and even end of life scenarios and testing. Quite the amount of topics which are covered by a plethora of companies from the region of Flanders and the Netherlands making this an EU interregional project. 

 

Within Hemp2Comp Eve Reverse has a focus on the quantification of the environmental impact of the developments in these projects. We perform so called life cycle analyses with GWP (global warming potential) as the impact parameter. This means that for each product we calculate how many kilograms of CO2 equivalents are emitted. To be able to perform these calculations we are in close contact with all partners of the Hemp2Comp project, understanding their production processes and helping optimize them.
